This is a conversion utility program that will copy the Player records, Sector/Port/Planet, and other necessary records from a 1.03 or 1.03d TW game to a 2.05 TW game. It may work with later than 2.05(BETA) versions of TW as well.

This is the fourth release of TW2EDIT.EXE, an editor for Tradewars v2.0x(BETA).  It has worked with 2.03/4/5 games, and probably will work with later releases of TW. There are a couple of minor updates from the initial release, but no bugs needed fixing.

The Tradewars 2.0x (Beta) series has been plagued with a series of bugs. These range from the Ship Records bug that commonly assigns two Players to the same ship number, to "inheriting" Ferrengi grudges from deleted Players. There are *many* smaller, but still insidious bugs in this Beta. Martech had promised a new Beta promptly after the 13 Feb 1994 2.05 game, but as of today - over a year later - no new version has been released.  In an attempt to make the 2.05 at least playable, I wrote an EXTERN replacement which hopefully minimizes many of these bugs.

These are utility programs designed to edit the Ship Statistics and Planet Statistics in Tradewars 2.04/5. It's used to "Customize" Ships and Planets to your liking. Much error checking was incorporated in the writing of the program, and no major problems have yet surfaced.
